Screaming Hillary Inevitable
I’m about a third of the way into Dick Morris’ new book “Rewriting History, which is an explication of Hillary Clinton that adds all of the inconvenient facts she left out of her hagiography “Living History.”
Morris is one of the true Machiavellian geniuses of modern politics. Bill Clinton might never have been more than a failed one-term Governor of Arkansas without Morris’ opinion polling and research coupled with Hillary’s management skills. Morris’ services were always hired out to the highest bidder right or left, and his career as a political hired gun finally came a cropper when he was busted by the tabloids paying to have his toes sucked while dispensing the President advice over an unsecured line. Since then he has served as a pundit and an author of quickly read political tropes like this one. He’s a name dropper and a serious head case. I once spent a meeting kicking around a network radio talk show concept with him. He took my boss to dinner and made a great show of downing $150 bottles of wine on someone else’s tab.
That being said, Morris probably had more access for more years to Clinton and Company than anyone else. He has some great stories about them, as well as a pretty astute understanding of presidential history. He forecasts a very probable Hillary presidency as a result of a political “perfect storm” wherein there is no strong Repub nominee in four years at a point where the Democrat nomination is hers for the taking, assuming a Kerry defeat in November. Morris sees Hillary as a classic example of the paranoid style in American politics, a logical heir to the tradition of LBJ and Richard Nixon.
Hillary’s reflexive lies, and her remaking herself into what Morris calls the HILLARY brand should give us all pause as we consider a very probable Clinton II administration. For anyone who feels an inchoate loathing of Hillary, “Rewriting History” will give you some terra firma to go with your uncongealed red mist. That is all.
HILLARY. Branding. Is that all it is? I consider it something more than a mere marketing method. It is much more akin to the brainwashing that lay behind the incessant Mao, Mao Mao of cold war China.
Hillary is a communist. Like all despots and wannabes, she recognizes the power inherent in a chant.

I like Dick. Well, let me rephrase that. I like Dick Morris, simply because I understand the prostitute he is, and the value he brings to a situation. I also think he is wrong a hell of a lot more as a talking head than as a paid consultant. As a talking head he is espousing his own contrarian "brand". That shit would never fly when one is on the payroll.
